If you smell gas or believe there may be an immediate gas or fire hazard, leave the area and contact 911 and/or your gas utility from a safe location. Appliance Crew should service the appliance only after the property is safe. Once the property is safe, call 561.933.9955.

Interactive Diagnosis

What is your oven doing? Select the symptom.

Choose the symptom that sounds closest to what you’re seeing. We’ll show you useful observations and when professional oven or range service may be appropriate.

The 350 Degree Test

Set it to 350. What did it actually give you?

An oven thermometer can help you notice whether actual temperatures appear consistently different from the selected setting. Oven temperatures normally cycle, so one reading by itself does not identify a failed component.

350°F
Matches the selected setting
Close to the setting
Thermometer reading after full preheatSet to 350°F

What a thermometer reading tells you.

An oven cycles above and below the selected temperature by design, so a single reading does not identify a failed component. What is useful is the pattern: take a reading twice, ten minutes apart, and note whether the difference stays consistent.

Close to the setting: keep observing cooking results
Repeated readings differ: may need evaluation or model-specific guidance
Large or inconsistent changes: professional diagnosis may be appropriate
How to run the test at home: put an oven thermometer on the center rack, set the oven to 350, wait 20 minutes past the preheat chime, then read it. Check again 10 minutes later. A swing of more than 25 degrees between the two readings matters as much as the average.
Error Code Decoder

Your oven is flashing a code. Here is what it wants.

Enter the code shown on the appliance for general guidance. Error-code meanings can vary by brand, model and platform, so the code should be confirmed against the exact appliance information.

Most Common

Exact code meanings vary by model and platform. Treat this tool as a starting point, not a final diagnosis. The model and serial number help Appliance Crew identify the exact appliance and interpret the code during diagnosis.

What We Service

Oven, range & cooking appliances we work with.

Each type is serviced within our service scope. Separate cooktops are covered on cooktop repair, and every category is listed under all repair services.

Why A Specialist Matters

Cooking appliances combine heat, controls and built-in installation.

Ovens and ranges can combine gas or high-amperage electrical systems, temperature controls, heating components, ignition systems and built-in installation requirements. Similar symptoms can have different causes, which is why careful diagnosis comes before a repair recommendation.

Built-in appliances also need care around the surrounding cabinetry, countertops and finished surfaces whenever service access is required.

Parts availability in the United States is the practical limit on what can be serviced, not the badge on the front.

If no repair is performed, the service call is $69 for residential visits and $129 for commercial visits. Approve the repair and the service call and diagnostic are waived. The repair price is provided before work begins.
If you smell gas or believe there may be an immediate gas or fire hazard, leave the area and contact 911 and/or your gas utility from a safe location. Stop using an appliance that is sparking, overheating, repeatedly tripping a breaker, or otherwise appears unsafe until it can be evaluated.
Uneven cooking can have several causes, including appliance operation, cookware, rack position, airflow or a component problem. The 350 Degree Test on this page can help you observe temperature behavior, but it does not identify the failed component. If the problem continues, Appliance Crew can diagnose the appliance.
Appliance Crew works with built-in wall ovens, freestanding and slide-in ranges, professional-style cooking appliances and other cooking equipment within our service scope. Contact us with the brand and model if you want to confirm a specific appliance before booking.
