The La Cornue Standard

French cooking heritage since 1908.

La Cornue traces its story to Paris in 1908, when Albert Dupuy developed the vaulted oven that became central to the brand's identity. Inspired by the curved tunnels of the Paris Métro, the vaulted shape was designed to circulate heat around the food rather than concentrate it directly beneath it. More than a century later, the vaulted oven remains a defining element of La Cornue's Château cooking tradition.

Today's Château ranges are made to order by hand at La Cornue's workshop in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, outside Paris. Each Château range is made to order with extensive customization in cooking configuration, finish and trim. Made-to-order cooking equipment with distinctive materials, finishes and configurations deserves careful, model-specific service.

Appliance Crew is an independent appliance repair company. Our technicians are experienced with La Cornue and other premium cooking appliances, and manufacturer technical resources may be consulted when appropriate for the specific model.

What Sets La Cornue Apart

  • The Vaulted Oven
Albert Dupuy developed La Cornue's signature vaulted-oven concept in 1908. The curved chamber was designed to encourage heat circulation around the food and became a defining feature of the Château range.
  • Château Series
Made to order at La Cornue's workshop outside Paris and configurable across multiple sizes, finishes, trim choices and cooking-surface layouts.
  • CornuFé Series
La Cornue's more streamlined current range family, offered in two primary sizes for the U.S. market: CornuFé 90 Albertine and CornuFé 110.
  • Distinctive Finishes & Trim
Custom enamel or metal finishes and several trim treatments. Exact materials, finish names and hardware vary by range family, model and commissioned configuration.
  • Château & CornuFé Differ
Château and CornuFé ranges use different oven, control and cooking-surface architectures, so exact model identification matters during service.

La Cornue Equipment Within Our Service Scope

La Cornue across the Château and CornuFé families.

La Cornue's current range portfolio centers on the made-to-order Château Series and the more streamlined CornuFé Series. Within the Château family are multiple sizes, configurations and special design expressions, including Grand Palais 180, Château Moderne and Château Suprême. Service availability depends on the exact appliance, model, condition and replacement-parts availability.

Château Series

Château Ranges

Made to order at La Cornue's workshop outside Paris, configurable across multiple sizes, finishes, trim choices and cooking-surface layouts. Depending on the model, a Château may use gas or electric vaulted ovens and cooking surfaces combining gas burners, French Top, induction, electric Teppanyaki or gas lava-rock grill elements. See oven and range repair.

Château Family

Grand Palais 180

Grand Palais 180 is a large-format Château range configuration, not a separate La Cornue series. Its oven and cooking-surface configuration depends on the specific commissioned range.

CornuFé Series

CornuFé 90 Albertine & 110

The CornuFé 90 Albertine is approximately 35 inches wide and uses one large electric multifunction convection oven. The CornuFé 110 is approximately 43 inches wide and uses two electric convection ovens. Current cooking-surface options include five gas burners or five-zone induction.

Cooking Surfaces

Configurable Château Cooking Surfaces

Depending on the Château model and commissioned configuration, the cooking surface may combine gas burners with elements such as a French Top, induction, electric Teppanyaki or gas lava-rock grill. CornuFé offers separate accessories such as a French Plaque, grill or griddle and wok ring.

Château Family

Moderne, Suprême & Tourelle

Château Moderne is a contemporary interpretation developed with designer Matthew Quinn, in Moderne 150 and 180 configurations. Château Suprême is a special interpretation developed with Ferris Rafauli, with distinctive materials and finishes on applicable models. La Cornue also offers the Château Tourelle electric wall oven as part of the broader Château collection.

Finishes & Trim

Distinctive Finishes & Trim

La Cornue ranges can include custom enamel or metal finishes and several trim treatments, with current standard Château options including finishes such as Polished Brass, Brushed Brass, Brushed Stainless Steel, Brushed Nickel, Polished Chrome and Polished Copper depending on model. La Cornue also produces specialty cooking equipment such as the Flamberge Rôtisserie; service availability for specialty equipment should be confirmed from the exact model before booking.

Why Model-Specific Service Matters

Why model-specific service matters.

La Cornue ranges can combine specialized cooking layouts, custom finishes and different product generations. Model-specific information helps identify the appliance accurately before repair work is recommended. La Cornue has used different oven and cooking-surface configurations across Château, CornuFé and earlier product generations, so exact model identification is especially useful.

Château & CornuFé Are Different

La Cornue's Château and CornuFé families use different oven, control and cooking-surface architectures. The exact model helps identify the correct technical information.

Parts Sourced For The Specific Repair

Replacement-part sourcing depends on the exact La Cornue model, required component and current availability in the United States.

Custom Finishes

La Cornue ranges may include distinctive enamel, metal finishes and decorative trim. Finished surfaces are handled with care when service access is required.

Commissioned Château Configurations

Château ranges can vary substantially in size, oven type, cooking-surface layout, finish and trim. Model and serial information help identify the actual configuration before repair work is recommended.

Appliance-Specific Diagnosis

Similar symptoms can have different causes depending on the exact configuration. Appliance Crew evaluates the reported problem before recommending repair work.

Possibly. La Cornue has produced multiple range and cooking-appliance generations over more than a century. Send us the model and serial information and we will help confirm whether the appliance falls within our service scope.
