Marvel Refrigeration traces its heritage to the Ranney Refrigerator Company, founded in Greenville, Michigan in 1892. Ranney began with ice boxes and transitioned to mechanical refrigeration in 1938. Over time the business evolved through several ownership changes, and Marvel became closely associated with premium undercounter refrigeration, wine storage, beverage centers and ice machines.
Marvel introduced its first premium undercounter wine storage and beverage center in 1992 and introduced the Marvel Professional line in 2012. Marvel’s Greenville, Michigan facility expanded in 2025 as a Refrigeration Center of Excellence, and in 2026 Marvel became part of Composition Brands following its acquisition by 26North.
Marvel’s residential product portfolio is centered on undercounter refrigeration, wine storage, beverage storage, freezing and ice making. Repair with approval
If you approve the repair, the service call and diagnostic are waived. Where appropriate, appliance operation is checked after repair work is completed. Qualifying repairs include a 90-day parts and labor warranty.
