01
Our Commitment
Appliance Crew is committed to providing people with disabilities meaningful access to the information on this website and to the ways of requesting service, asking a question and reaching a person.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a finished task. As pages are added, updated or rebuilt, accessibility is part of the work rather than something checked afterward.
If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, we want to hear about it. Section 10 explains what helps us act on it, and Section 09 explains how to get what you need in the meantime.
02
Accessibility Standard
Our reference pointAppliance Crew is committed to improving digital accessibility and uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as an accessibility goal and reference point for ongoing website improvements. This is an accessibility target that guides our work. It is not a conformance claim, and this statement does not represent that every page of the website already satisfies every success criterion.
WCAG is published by the World Wide Web Consortium and is the standard most widely used to describe how web content can be made more accessible to people with disabilities.
03
What We Are Working To Support
Our accessibility work includes reviewing areas such as:
- Logical heading structure
- Semantic HTML and correct landmarks
- Descriptive link text
- Meaningful alternative text for images that carry information
- Text and background contrast
- Keyboard navigation
- Visible keyboard focus
- Form labels that stay visible
- Understandable validation and error messages
- Readable text on mobile screens
- Zoom and reflow without loss of content
- Reduced-motion preferences
- Not relying on color alone to communicate information
- Adequately sized interactive targets
Reviewing these areas is continuing work across the site, and pages built or rebuilt more recently reflect more of it than older pages do.
04
Keyboard and Navigation
Our goal is that important functionality on this website can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse or a touch gesture.
What that means in practice
- Navigation order follows the visual and logical order of the page
- Links, buttons and form fields can be reached with the Tab key
- A visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page
- Nothing traps keyboard focus so that it cannot move on
Native focus outlines are not removed unless they are replaced with a focus style that is at least as visible. On this page, the focused element is marked with a gold outline and a ring around it, which is a shape change rather than a color change alone.
05
Text, Color and Visual Content
Our goals for visual content are that text is readable, contrast between text and its background is sufficient, content scales when you zoom or increase text size, images that carry meaning have accurate alternative text, and color is never the only way information is communicated.
Decorative graphics and icons are marked so that assistive technology can skip them rather than announcing shapes that add nothing.
We cannot represent that every image published across the history of this website already has perfect alternative text. Where you find an image whose meaning is not available to you, tell us which page it is on and we will correct it and provide the information another way.
06
Forms and Booking
Booking and contact forms are the part of the site that matters most, because a form that cannot be completed is a service that cannot be requested. Appliance Crew works to make those forms understandable and operable, including:
- Visible labels rather than placeholder text alone
- Clear indication of which fields are required
- Validation messages that say what to fix and where
- A logical keyboard order through the fields
- Instructions written in plain language
If you cannot use the online booking formYou do not have to use it. Call 561.933.9955, text 645.240.0004 or email [email protected] and we will take the request directly. These are our ordinary business lines answered by the same team. Tell us it is easier for you to book this way and we will handle it from there.
07
Motion and Interaction
Motion on this website is decoration. It is not required in order to read, understand or use the content, and no information is communicated by animation alone.
This page supports the reduced-motion preference. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, reveal animations, transitions and smooth scrolling on this page are turned off and the content is shown in place. We are extending the same pattern across the rest of the site.
We do not use flashing or strobing effects.
08
Third-Party Content and Tools
Some features of this website rely on technology supplied by other companies. Examples include booking and scheduling tools, payment processing, maps, embedded media and review platforms. Those providers maintain their own products and their own accessibility practices, and we do not control their code.
A third-party limitation is not the end of the conversationIf a third-party feature creates an accessibility barrier, contact Appliance Crew and we will make reasonable efforts to provide the relevant information or service through another available method.
We also raise barriers with the providers we work with, and we take accessibility into account when choosing tools going forward.
09
Alternative Access
If any part of this website is difficult for you to use, you do not have to work around it alone. Contact Appliance Crew by phone, text or email and, where reasonably possible, we can provide the information another way or take your service request directly.
We answer during ordinary business hours and respond as promptly as we reasonably can. We do not set a fixed response time here, because we would rather tell you honestly than promise a number we cannot hold to.
10
Accessibility Feedback
Feedback is how a barrier gets found and fixed. If you encounter one, tell us what happened. If you are comfortable providing it, the following helps us reproduce and correct the problem:
- The page or feature involved, including the web address if you have it
- What you were trying to accomplish
- What problem occurred
- How you would prefer to receive a response
Details about the browser, device or assistive technology you were using can help us find the cause, and are entirely optional.
You never have to disclose a disabilityDescribing the barrier is enough. We do not ask for, and do not need, information about your health or your reason for contacting us in order to help.
Send feedback to [email protected], call 561.933.9955 or text 645.240.0004.
11
Statement Updates
Our accessibility practices and this statement may be updated as the website evolves, as pages are rebuilt and as we learn from the feedback we receive.
When this statement is updated, the revised Last Updated date shown at the top of this page changes with it.
