Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits. They may be used to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, measure traffic and support advertising and measurement.

Most browsers let you refuse, limit or delete cookies through their own settings, and many browsers also offer a private browsing mode. If you block cookies, some parts of the website may not work as intended.

Where applicable law creates additional opt-out rights relating to cookies or similar technologies, you may contact Appliance Crew using the details in Section 16 to exercise the rights that apply to you.

Service Providers and Disclosures

Appliance Crew uses third parties to help operate the business. Limited information may be disclosed to providers that support functions such as:

  • Website hosting
  • Customer relationship management
  • Scheduling and dispatch
  • Payment processing
  • Phone, text and email communications
  • Analytics

Information may also be disclosed where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process or a governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Appliance Crew, our customers, our personnel or others.

If Appliance Crew is involved in a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

SMS, Phone and Email Communications

When you provide contact information in connection with a service request, we may use it to communicate with you about that request, appointment, estimate, invoice or other service-related matter. Promotional or marketing text messages are sent only when the consent required by applicable law has been obtained. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages from the sending number and HELP for assistance.

Providing a phone number in a form or during a call is not by itself treated as consent to receive promotional text messages.

If you opt out of text messages

Replying STOP stops messages from the number that sent the message. After opting out, we may be unable to reach you by text about a scheduled visit. You can still reach us and coordinate service by calling 561.933.9955 or emailing [email protected].

You can also ask to be removed from marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing message or by contacting us directly.

State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether a particular privacy law applies to Appliance Crew, you may have rights relating to personal information, which may include access, correction, deletion, portability, information about disclosures, or the ability to opt out of certain data uses.

California is one example of a state that provides such rights to its residents when the applicable law covers the business in question. Other states have adopted their own privacy laws, each with its own scope and thresholds. Not every state privacy law applies to every business, and this policy does not represent that every state privacy law applies to Appliance Crew.

Making a request

To ask about or exercise a right that applies to you, email [email protected] or call 561.933.9955. Please tell us what you are asking for so we can route the request correctly.

Appliance Crew may take reasonable steps to verify your identity, and the identity of an authorized agent acting for you, before responding to a request. We respond within the timeframes required by the law that applies to the request.

No penalty for exercising a privacy rightAppliance Crew does not discriminate against a consumer for exercising a legally protected privacy right.

Browser Privacy Signals

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. There is no single universal technical standard for how websites should interpret or respond to that signal, and practices differ across the industry. For that reason this website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals in a standardized way.

Separately, some browsers and extensions transmit privacy preference signals that certain privacy laws recognize. Where a privacy preference signal must be honored under a law that applies to Appliance Crew, it will be handled in accordance with that law. You may also contact us using the details in Section 16 to exercise a right that applies to you.

Data Security

Appliance Crew maintains reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. Access to customer information is limited to personnel and providers who need it to do their work.

No website, electronic transmission or storage system can be completely secure, and we cannot promise that information will always remain free from unauthorized access. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us at [email protected].

Data Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:

  • Providing and completing service
  • Customer support and follow-up
  • Warranty and repair records
  • Accounting and business records
  • Legal, tax and regulatory requirements
  • Resolving disputes and preventing them
  • Other legitimate business purposes

Retention periods vary by record type and by the obligations that apply to it. When information is no longer needed for a purpose described above, it is deleted or retained in a form that no longer identifies you, in line with our ordinary business practices.

Children's Privacy

Our website and our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. Appliance Crew does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] so we can review the matter and take appropriate steps.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as our practices, our technology or applicable law change. When it is updated, the revised policy is posted on this page with a new Last Updated date.

Where a change requires additional consent under applicable law, that consent is obtained before the change is applied to you. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
